About Julie Bee 3

Julie Bee is the founder of this business consulting practice, a professional speaker, a leader of leaders, a podcast host, and an entrepreneur.  She’s a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program (10ksb) and a proud alumnus of West Virginia University.

Julie started her career as an accountant, but quickly discovered that path was not a good fit for her creativity. After losing her job in 2008, Julie founded BeeSmart Social Media. Julie continues to serve as the founder of BeeSmart, leading her remote team and supporting them in delivering services to the clients.

Today, Julie focuses most of her time on helping business owners overcome their challenges so that they can fulfill their vision. She does this through VIP Consulting, Key Employee Coaching, and speaking engagements. In 2020, Julie began podcasting, and is now an award-winning podcaster. She’s the host of  They Don’t Teach This In Business School, a podcast that shares lessons learned on the business ownership journey.

Julie has been quoted and featured in FastCompany, Forbes, Thrive Global, and many more publications.

Julie has been a finalist for several prestigious business awards, including two Stevie® Awards for Women in Business (Best Young Entrepreneur and Best New Company), NAWBO Charlotte’s Rising Star award and NAWBO’s Woman Business Owner of the Year award. Julie regularly advocates on behalf of small businesses, and she is also involved with community colleges in the Charlotte area to support and mentor locally owned, minority business owners.
