Big Idea
I started podcasting accidentally, but adding YouTube as a media channel was intentional. All of the content we create here at TJB Media has one goal – to help business owners achieve their definition of success so that they can make a positive impact on their local communities. This week’s big idea is simple – share your value and help others share theirs.
Easy Action
The lessons you’ve learned in business have value. Sharing a lesson with someone who needs to hear it is an immensely powerful way to make an impact. It’s so powerful that I created a podcast and YouTube show about these lessons from other business owners. Entrepreneurs want to learn from you. I’m not suggesting you give unsolicited advice. I suggest you ask permission to offer advice when conversing with a business owner struggling with something. Frame the advice in your own story if you can; that makes it more powerful. And if you don’t have advice, have a resource to offer – a book, a connection, a podcast, or a YouTube series, that may help that person.
Elevate Your Business
Sharing your lessons with others who are open to hearing them provides perspective. You and I both know that it’s difficult to get perspective on a business issue when you’re inside it. Offering your wisdom to those who seek it out helps elevate you as a person to know, which in turn elevates your business.
Awesome Around Us
- Devan Kline, co-founder of Burn Boot Camp, shared the first video he ever made to provide us all a reminder that action, not overthinking, is what creates momentum.
- Donna Cravotta created The Real 50 over 50 Visibility Project in February of this year and it has already reached 250,000 people. Congrats!
- Jim Young recently launched a podcast, Expansive Intimacy, a podcast designed to provide a space where men can explore how to bring intimacy into their lives.
